Matt Valencic, project leader, sent photos of one of the projects we funded last spring. The steps are functional and beautiful and surely make a slippery slope much safer. Look forward to a guided field trip to visit the Sanctuary and our steps next spring. This from Matt:
Read MoreOn Tuesday, October 25th over 25 members of the Shaker Lakes Garden Club met at Merwin's Wharf in the Flats where we learned all about the planning and design of the highly anticipated Irishtown Bend Park. The future park (estimated completion 2026) is directly across the river from Merwin's Wharf and abutting W 25th Street and the Westside Market.

I learned new things, and I met many kind, accomplished, and knowledgeable women, including many of the other representatives from Zone X. It was an activity filled few days with wonderful tours and information from experts.
