A Last Chance to Volunteer at Rid-All
Ruth Swetland Eppig
September 12 from 10:00 - 12:00
Lunch will be available at the Rid All Restaurant if you choose to stay.
Please join us at the Farm at 8129 Otter Ave., Cleveland, OH 44104. Ridall.org
Come dressed for gardening and be prepared to weed, water, and plant with gloves, hand hoe and trowel. If you want to bring herbs to plant, they would be welcome. Director Keymah Durden will have us work with a team member to help in this urban agricultural oasis in the Kinsman neighborhood. After a morning of volunteering they will prepare a lunch for those who can stay for soup and salad for $12.
Please bring your spouse, children and friends. All are welcome. You will learn about Rid All's urban agriculture and youth education program. The Shaker Lakes Garden Club will become a partner in this work and apply for a Common Ground grant at the end of the year from the Garden Club of America. I hope you will be as proud as we are to work with the wonderful team at Rid All.
The deadline for response is September 10.
