Happy fall! This is my favorite season!
A HUGE Thank you to Robin and Martha for coordinating a successful, FANTASTIC flower show! Nothing but the highest praise has come from the many out-of-town judges. This was such a wonderful team effort and many of us in the club worked very hard to ensure a lovely show- THANK YOU!
October is a busy month and I hope you’ll participate in the following:
The GCA Shirley Meneice Horticulture Conference is virtual and will highlight Hawaii- Oct 18th, registration is free and details will be emailed to you soon.
Our Oct 31st members’ meeting will feature Ted Auch, a biology professor at John Carroll University, who will be speaking on environmental justice impacts by way of aerial photography at the Shaker Heights main library.
Everyone should have received their new directories. If you haven’t received yours, let me know.
I am hoping to share with you updated Code of Regulations (our bylaws) and Standing Rules so that we may vote on them at the October members’ meeting. I am grateful for our ad-hoc governance committee of Cindy Elliott, Amy Paine and Suzy Hartford who all helped in this endeavor. Stay tuned for more details!
