Speaker Ted Auch will speak about the environmental justice impacts from the Ohio River Valley to the Gulf Coast by way of aerial photography and drone technologies.
We asked Ted to say a few things about himself:
I have a PhD in climate modeling from the University of Vermont, an MS in Mine Reclamation Ecology from Virginia Tech, and a BS from the University of Vermont in Plant and Soil Science. I am a member of the John Carroll University Biology Faculty teaching courses in climate change. I currently serve on the EPA's Environmental Justice Screen Science Advisory Board. I am a member of the NAACP Climate and Environmental Justice Working Group. I have been with the nonprofit FracTracker for 10+ years, now researching the impacts of fracking and all manner of fossil fuel energy impacts from the Ohio River Valley and the Upper Midwest to the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana. Most importantly I am married to an amazing woman in Julia Larouche and we have two amazing boys, Michael Leaf nearly 10 and Satchel Edward nearly 6 at the Onaway School in Shaker Heights.
