A Magnificent Opportunity for a Magnificent Local Trip!

Falling Water is the iconic home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the Laurel Highlands of western Pennsylvania!
The GCA hosts a series of “On the Road” trips for members of all GCA clubs and their guests throughout each year. Their list for 2023-2024 follows here. But the first one is a local trip for us, to Falling Water, and there are still some spots available! You can make a long day’s trip of it; it’s just under 3 hours’ drive from Shaker Heights.
My husband Andy and I travelled last October with friends to a number of Wright installations in the area including Falling Water. The season was perfect for fall foliage and especially to enjoy the masses of blooming witch hazels (Hamamelis virginiana) throughout the forests in that area. If you’d like to add other sites to the visit, and stay for a few days, please let me know and I’ll recommend the houses, gardens, and sculptures we visited.
Travelling with GCA ladies is always educational and amusing, and I recommend this trip highly! Meanwhile, does anyone want to go on another “On the Road” trip?
