Flower Show Classes to Enter By June 7!!

These two classes, listed below, require advance entry, using the Horticulture Entry Form that can be found on page 43 of our Flower Show Schedule. Entries for each must be planted by June 7th. One class is for members of all GCA clubs – but it would be swell if our own members could fill this class! The other is open to MALE MEMBERS of SLGC households. Both classes require relatively small containers, and make lovely additions to the terrace or garden for the summer, during which time they will grow into magnificent specimens for the Show in September.
1. MEN’s Class in Horticulture, Division II:
Challenge Class for male household members of Shaker Lakes Garden Club members. Class is limited to 16 entries.
Class 56. One specimen of Capsicum annuum ‘Trifetti’ grown in a container no larger than 10” in diameter.
Trifetti Peppers are beautiful container plants for your summer display on a patio table. The plant shape is small and round, with purple, white and green variegated foliage. Small peppers ripen from red to shiny purple. Starter plants are NOW AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP from Robin Schachat. Must be started by the Exhibitor no later than June 7!!!!!!!!!
2. Club Members’ Container of Various Succulents, Division II
A Container Garden in a container not to exceed 10” in width/diameter. Pre-registration is required for this class. Key card required. Class is limited to 6 entries.
Class 54. Container must include three or more succulents of different varieties
Another beautiful container to display on your terrace throughout the summer! Must be started by the Exhibitor no later than June 7!!!!!!!
