My Favorite Thing

Last August I had the pleasure of attending SEARCH (Symposium for Ecological Research) at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, learning about the summer research projects of undergrad and graduate students in NE Ohio. Students from a variety of schools presented posters of their work, and were very happy and excited to share their results. I decided to attend as the new chairman of GCA’s Katharine M. Grosscup Scholarships in Horticulture, hoping to encourage local students to apply for the Scholarship. I’m thrilled to say that young ladies from Cleveland State University and Hiram College did so, and were both awarded full scholarships!
SEARCH is free and open to the public, and will be held again this year on Wednesday, August 1st from 9 - 11:30 am. Hope to see other SLGC members there!
