As we begin our new season of SLGC activities, there are two documents that I’d like to share. One is the 2022 GCA by the numbers guide that gives you a snapshot of who and what the GCA is.
Irishtown Bend was once the home of a 19th century Irish shantytown on the banks of the Cuyahoga river. Come and meet the design team who will show our group their 21st century plans to create a beautiful 23 acre waterfront park in this underutilized land with a gorgeous view of the Cleveland skyline.
We will be meeting at gorgeous Sweet Bay Farms on Monday September 19 at 10:00, at our very own beloved member, Karen Colinis’s family flower farm that is now run by her daughter, Katie.

It was a beautiful day, a beautiful setting, and a happy occasion for Garden Club members to gather at Annamarie Brankovsky’s for our Annual Meeting. We loved seeing each other – in person!
At our Annual Meetings we honor some of our members with special awards, and recognize others for years of service. Congratulations to all the hard-working members of SLGC!

The weekend of June 17th found me in Manhattan with a few bucket list items I wanted to do. One especially was a trip to the Bronx. Living in the City 40 years ago, one of the places I never got to visit was The New York Botanical Garden.
