As we begin our new season of SLGC activities, there are two documents that I’d like to share. One is the 2022 GCA by the numbers guide that gives you a snapshot of who and what the GCA is. It’s a great, quick read. Also, the GCA Resources pamphlet is a clear and concise guide to the inner workings of the committees, community engagement, conferences and publications. It too is an excellent resource you should review.
September will be a busy month as there are many fun activities planned. Here’s a quick list:
Sept 9 at 9 am – Provisional Meeting at Petra Moran’s. For first and second year provisionals and provisional chairs.
Sept 14 – Garden Club of Dayton Flower Show – Several SLGC members will be attending as judges.
Sept 19 at 10 am – Floral Design event at Sweet Bay Farms – see program info in this newsletter
Sept 20 at 9 am – Board Meeting at Marcie Bergman’s
Sept 27 at 10 am – Member Meeting at Irishtown Bend- see program info in this newsletter

Oct 14 at 9:30 am – Begonia propagation workshop- likely at the home of Jennifer Hartford. Details in this newsletter.
Oct 18 at 11:30 am – Joint meeting with Garden Club of Cleveland- Francoise Weeks, floral designer, $60 for lunch and presentation, Stillwater Place, Cleveland Zoo, Register here ASAP: https://www.gardenclubofcleveland.org/ under “events.” More info in this bulletin!
