Charitable Projects Thanks you!
Getting closer to 100% participation!
Gifts in any amount are still welcome and will enable us to generously fund the stellar projects we have this year.
Inviting Biodiversity into Our Gardens
Inviting Biodiversity into Our Gardens was brought to you through a collaboration between Ann Cicarella of the Cleveland Pollinator and Native Plant Symposium (and SLGC), Judy Semroc at Nature Spark and Renee Boronka with Western Reserve Land Conservancy.. Did you miss Session 4: Insects with Benefits: Pollination and Natural Pest Control? You can watch here.
Can Castor Beans Save the World?
Do you remember the article from Margaret Ransohoff about her beautiful and unusual varieties of castor bean plants? (read it here). We all know that castor beans are toxic to humans and animals, but did you know they are grown by an Israeli company to provide biofuel for Africa? Read all about it here.
Looking for Perennial Seeds?
The Nature Center has a seed library on the second level where you can choose up to five packets of perennial seeds, filed according to sun, and soil conditions. For more information, click here.
