I’m writing this on August 17, one week into our relaxing vacation on Georgian Bay, Ontario. We are off the grid (solar works very well, with a little propane for the water heater) and surrounded by water, so life is a complete change from Cleveland!
We will have our first In Person membership meeting at St. Paul’s Church. Our speaker is the legendary mushroom whisperer, Tom Wiandt, owner of Killbuck Valley Mushroom Farm just outside Wooster, Ohio. The GCA’s Shirley Meneice Horticultural Conference will be virtual again this year. It has always been a big event, but only two members from every club were able to participate until Covid made it virtual and every member could be part of it. The dates are September 22 and 23, from 11:00 - 1:00 and 4:00 - 6:00 both days.
