Our Charitable Projects Committee is pleased to announce that the Native Plant Garden at First Baptist Church in Shaker Heights, for which we voted support this year, was installed on July 21st! Here are photos of the volunteers doing the planting, along with a thank you note from Wendy Donkin and a photo of their garden sign, which acknowledges the support of our club for this endeavour. Congratulations to you all, too, First Baptist! And to your very first monarch butterfly!
"We had a fantastic turnout for planting this morning at the church! The plants are beautiful and the weather was perfect! The feather in the cap is a toss-up between the goldfinch checking things out before we started to plant, and the female monarch visiting the garden and laying eggs during our clean-up! ♥️
I can’t thank you enough for your support! This will be a legacy garden for the church for many years to come!"
