GCA Scholarship Committee Awards

The Garden Club of America Scholarship Committee awarded a record $405,000 to 86 recipients in the spring of 2023. Of those, nine were Katharine M. Grosscup Scholarships in Horticulture winners, totaling $24,000.
Founded in 1981 in memory of Shaker Lakes Garden Club member Katie Grosscup, the scholarship is not only one of the oldest but also the only one managed by a local committee. It consists of three members of Shaker Lakes GC, and three members of the GC of Cleveland….Leslie Marting, Amy Miller and Jane Pinkas represent SLGC.
Shaker Lakes GC members went above and beyond this year, donating $3,025 through our Charitable Projects Fund. The Grosscup committee, and scholars, are extremely grateful!
