Dear Friends,
Having just come home from the GCA Annual Meeting in Columbus, my head is filled with ideas for engaging our members, offering new and interesting programs and making a greater impact in our community. Amy Miller and I interacted with and learned from GCA presidents and delegates from around the country. Here are some of the highlights:
The GCA’s website is an indispensable resource for everyone! This Resource Guide is a must read to understand all the functional areas of the GCA and what it offers clubs. Please read it!
The book Smart Brevity came highly recommended as a way to transform how we communicate and to make it more compelling.
Surveys are an excellent way to gauge your member’s interests and keep them engaged. Look for a survey to come out soon!
Amy and I are grateful to you all for your support in our participation in the annual meeting. It’s a transformative experience and we will share more with you going forward. I am truly honored to be your president and I look forward to learning and growing with you as we make our gardens and northeast Ohio greener and more beautiful places.
See you at our annual luncheon meeting on June 28 and our provisional celebration on July 25.
Enjoy your gardens this summer!
