Dear Friends,
Spring will be here before we know it, are you ready? I’m not! Why not get in the mood for spring by getting outside and taking a few photos to submit to our photo contest? I just submitted two photos. It’s easy and fun, so send yours in to Lee Jacobs, leegjacobs@gmail.com ASAP!
I hope you’ll attend our March 28 meeting- a book discussion on Braiding Sweetgrass. It is a wonderful and beautiful book and I highly recommend it. Stay tuned for meeting location.
GCA Annual Meeting in Columbus updates- the best day to come down for a visit to see the flower show is Wednesday, May 24th. We will need at least 10 members to volunteer at the meeting. Volunteer signup will be online on the Zone X landing page soon. Also, we are looking for a few more brave souls who want to enter the flower show, specifically class 33 - growing a pot of edible flowers in bloom. I can transport your pot down and back if you like to make it easier! Here’s the link.
Have you voted for the 2023 Founder’s Fund grant yet? You have just another week or so before I submit our club’s choice. Click here to vote.
Lastly, we are collecting gently used and clean socks, gloves/mittens and hats for kids who participate in Buster’s Bird Nerds. Kids’ ages range from 12-16 years old. Please bring in these items to the next membership or board meeting. Thank you!
There’s so much going on in our club! Please take a moment to read your newsletters and if you haven’t been to a meeting in a while, please join us!
