Hort Challenge
There is a new propagation challenge focusing on plants grown at Frederick Law Olmsted’s garden in Massachusetts. You could grow Asclepias tuberosa (Butterfly weed) or any Monarda (Bee balm or Bergamot) cultivar from seed. These two types of plants can be found just about anywhere. Deadline for a photographic entry is July 15, so you have some time to find seeds and sow them in the early spring.
See the Fall 2021 issue of THE REAL DIRT for more information.
