President's Letter November 2019

Dear Friends,

Cynthia Druckenbrod and Amy Miller, along with their extraordinary committee, did a superb job of organizing and staging Cornucopia, a fall feast for the senses.

This month, we will have a wonderful program. On November 19, several of our very talented floral designers, Margaret Krudy, Jennifer Langston, Mary Anne Liljedahl, Jennifer Hartford, and Carole Obernesser will present holiday tablescapes. They will share their creative ideas for holiday gatherings. I hope you will join me in collecting some inspirational ideas for the looming holiday season. We will also offer a very small Holiday Boutique during our program. You just might find a lovely hostess gift or a treat for yourself!

Later this month, after you have digested your Thanksgiving meal, I hope you will visit the Cleveland Botanical Garden to see the annual GLOW festival. It runs from November 23 through January 4. Our Provisionals will have an 8- foot tree, exquisitely decorated, on display. Make sure to stop and admire their work. Lisa Mortimer and Amy Paine have been busy guiding our Provisionals through the bustle of the Fall Season. The Provisionals had a gorgeous display of cornucopias in the Flower Show. They have decorated a tree for the GLOW festival, and they are busy planning a special Greens Workshop for Tuesday, December 10 at Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights. I hope you will thank and congratulate our Provisonals, as you meet them, for all of their effort and volunteerism. They are a terrific group of future leaders for our club.

Lastly, I would like to wish each of you a warm and cozy Thanksgiving holiday.
